And then there were two…

Stella’s departure for Camp Misty Meadows is the next-to-last family event prior to our trip west. She wasn’t at all excited about going, but gutted it up… Yeah, right. She Mmedloadin
couldn’t wait to see, groom, and ride horses all week. She was fortunate this time around to sync up with other girls in her troop. Stella’s friends aren’t just at camp, she’s a bunky to Kerry (pictured loading in their stuff… how like a girl to bring a roll-around bag to camp) and the other is in the next cabin. When I left, they were already doing the girly gobble.

Dropping kids at camp is good practice, mom tells me, for dropping them off at college. “Thanks, Dad. Bye, Dad.” and they’re gone. As much noise as the two of them made on the way up, the Expedition was spooky silent on the way home.

Then again, with Kate and Stella gone, I’m only caring for two kids. What a cakewalk!
