Our bags are packed, we’re ready to go….

After a series of budget hotels, I cut loose for this boutique hotel in Boston. It was a welcome reward.

Even so, they don’t exactly look like they’re sorry to go.

Everyone is ready to be leaving on a jet plane. Especially the DaddyMom.

Our last taste of Boston: cannoli

Only a jamoke would visit the North End and NOT get a cannoli.

Traveling as a group has its advantages: an excuse to try more than one.

Now you see ’em.

Now ya don’t. A bittersweet treat because it marks the end of our time in Boston.

One last Boston blast: The North End

Another week, another festival in Boston’s North End.

Narrow canyons of old buildings framing the winding roads of Boston’s North End.

There’s Boston’s Old North Church. You know, the one used by Paul Revere to signal the British’s manner of attack.

One if by land, two if by sea. Actually, it was one if by land, two if by river. But, never let facts get in the way of good meter.

Boston is a city of gardens. Day Lilies growing in an alley. I love that about this city.

Timeless taste treat

Don’t ask me how many times I came here while working in the North End while in college. Couldn’t come to Boston without giving the kids the thrill of real pizza.

Pizzeria Regina has been serving up perfect pizza since 1926. I am betting this won’t be the last time the kids come here. Though, it may reset their sense of how good the pizza is in Houston.

Yummy treats for the airport.

Doug and Anna, Charlie and Sandie

Too much time has passed since I last connected with Anna and Doug. Fellow Emerson alums, Doug was one of my roommates in College, Anna his girlfriend. 23 years later, they’re hubby and wife and still the great friends I remember way back when. The topics may have changed a bit over the years, but the ease of exploring them remained just as much fun. Hope to see them again in less than another 23 years.
