Brother and sister in arms

Our very own version of American Gothic. Kate and John ready to "get some" on Texas' paintball killing fields.  Yet another reason I'm proud to say I grew up in New Hampshire.

The young. The brave. The paintless. They remained two of those for about five more minutes after this photo was snapped. John and company head out for paintball conquests.

Road Trip ’09: 4,428 Miles… The planning begins

The kids will tell you, once dad gets an idea in his head, you best buckle up because we'll soon be on our way. And, I have an idea to take the kids on a swing to the northeast this summer. We can visit family on the Cape, see where dad grew up in both New Hampshire and Connecticut. And, see big stretches of the country along the way. Just like our trip west, except without the boring Kansas and Wyoming parts. It's just an idea right now, but that's how all our adventures begin.

StellaVision: Dancing musical fingers caught on video

Memorial School of Music’s annual Christmas recital gave Stella a chance to show off all she’s learned. She was terrific!

Note from the DaddyGeek: This video was shot with my MimoHD tapeless HD video camera; smaller than a pack of cigarettes. The stream is via the HD streaming service I’m using for the new HomeShow Online website coming live on January 3. The difference in quality between this and older feeds is amazing.

After months of practice, Stella displays her keyboard virtuosity. This is the halfway point of the music school year. Bookmark this page and compare with how she does in May at the end of her lessons.

Officially Daisy

Zuzu receives her official Girl Scout pin as she's inducted as a Daisy during their Christmas party. She's so proud of her Daisy apron and working to get all her Daisy petals… Or, in this case, Zuzu's petals.
