Girl scout sugar buzz

Paybacks are hell. And, that's what I was thinking as Stella and I conspired to plan our snack duty for the last girl scout meeting before Christmas break. Instead of juiceboxes and chips, we brought hot cocoa and iced sugar cookies just before sending them home for the evening. Sugar buzz seconds anyone?

Mark of a good vacation: coming home exhausted

We weren't in the air five minutes when I looked over to find Zuzu zonked out. I'm betting there were visions of MIckey and MInnie dancing in her precious head all the way home to Houston.

Houston, we’re flying home

Ready for liftoff, the money troop spreads wings and gets ready to fly home to Houston. Zuzu? Check. Stella? Check. John? Check. Kate? Too cool for the room. Regardless, we're gonna light that candle and fly! Having them strapped to seats for three hours will make this the most relaxing time of the whole trip!

Our final stop (Thanks Grammy)

There couldn't have been a more perfect ending to our Florida adventure. Even though temps were a frosty 45 degrees, we enjoyed the high-flying fun of Cirque du Soleil's La Nuba. (My translation: freaky people jumping on stuff) Our fifth-row seats were Christmas presents from Grammy. What fun. Even better: we were able to score a DVD of the show to take home.

Last supper in Orlando

For Thanksgiving, we had a traditional holiday meal at Planet Hollywood: Fried cheese, stuffed potato skins, fried chicken, tacos, etc. Just like the pilgrims, we were fed by the locals who were friendly enough to bring us in from the cold.
