She comes by her driving style honestly

We walked by this one yesterday and decided it wasn't worth the trouble. Zuzu had other ideas. The Indy Racetrack put her behind the wheel of a real car and allowed her to operate it all by herself. Once she got the hang of turn left to go left, turn right to go right, she took over the push down to go fast, let go to go slow. She insisted we come back and do this and we're all glad she did.

Time to make a dream come true for Daddy

Daddy like Latte. They only come in one size, but this will do. Wanna guess what flavor is in that cup? And, what kind of cookie is in that bag? My kids know me well enough that they can order both for me and get it right every time. Ahhhhhh. The DaddyMom is feeling the fuel to make it through…

Four more hours left on our Mickey clock

I can see it in their eyes. The kids are coming to grips with the fact that we're in the final hours of our six days of Disney. For all the bumps and scrapes along the way this week, we're all feeling sad to see it winding down. I'm wondering what each will take from this as a long-term memory. I remember coming here as a child and seeing a model of what Epcot would look like when it was done. Who knows what the next 40 years will bring for them and their kids.

Sucker for an act of kindness

Every now and then they do something that gives me hope that the good stuff is getting through. We were wandering this store on Main Street USA when Stella appeared with five lollypops–one for each of us purchased from her gift-buying allowance. She did it unprompted and didn't ask anything in return. Just something sweet for her family. She is an old soul indeed.

His fingers are faster than Stella’s

This was Stella's reaction to my question as to whether she could play in the ragtime style being demonstrated behind her. Seems this is just a few lessons down the road for Stella bella.
