2655.3 MILES: Just south of Cannon Beach, Highway 101 coes out to expose beautiful pictures God had waiting for me. Sure, taken on a sunny day, they’d have been totally different. But, I really like what He arranged instead.

Showtime tonight

CANNON BEACH: Who need Bruce Willis or Harry Potter when there’s perfectly good Summer Stock available! Curtain time is 8PM!

CANNON BEACH: A run down to Pinot country would have been fun, but it is an adveture better share. So, I will return later… In the meantime, I visited a back street where stands The Wine Shack. Recommended by friends and locals, the shop was a delight. I grabbed several Oregon Pinot Noir treasures to bring home. I also picked up a couple of these critters bottled by the shop owner. Incredibly satisfying, he tells me he got the juice from a source no longer available given the success generated by the finished product. It’s ideal for a free wine Friday–and yes, I got two for the purpose!

Welcome to Cannon Beach–downtown.

CANNON BEACH: It’s a rainy day on the Pacific Northwest coast… A day made for tasty coffee and a book. The mixed-berry crumble is just for good measure.
