For and about the birds

Fun n learnin goin on yonder. A bird show with a message: birds good, people bad. No, only kidding sorta. Seriously, the upshot of this show: we can make this a safe world for birds or watch them perish. It was a fun show; I got called up on stage to participate in one demo. Yep, I can now say I’ve performed on a Disney stage. Sorta.

The tallest of all Disney’s Orlando rides, Everest takes you high into Yetti country where “few” have dared to trek. It is not a ride for the timid. Sounds delicious.

Setting off into the Animal Kingdom

Symetry demands I get a picture in front of the park entrance. This one has a distinctfully different feel from the other parks. It is almost doesn’t seem Disneyish.

We’re off to our final new park discovery as we make our way to Animal Adventure. We’re joined today by long-time friends Trish, Jill, and Tara. Trish and her girls were passing through Orlando while we are here and it seemed a good idea to have the girls reconnect; the three of them now live in Memphis where Trish is a college professor.

Just when you think you’ve seen it all

Now, here’s something you don’t see everyday. A Lego Advent Calendar. I’m thinking this might be a way of getting John interested in the true reason for the season again…
