Flying high on a magic carpet

Is it me, or does this ride seem strangely similar to the flying Dino and the flying Dumbo rides? Round and round, up and down. The kids don't care, it's another ride checked off the list. They're determined to ride every one of them. Or, at least, all the ones worth riding.

Our toughest contender

Zuzu has weathered Space Mountain, Everest, Big Thunder, and Splash Mountain. This one will not be stopped. I liked this glimpse into her tough side. As snuggly sweet as she may seem, there's a tough-as-nails little soul inside. The best thing I brought back from Disney is a deeper appreciation for the gift of the love I get from each of them.

We got it rollin’ first thing

Once wasn't enough. We got on board Thunder Mountain via the regular line (20 minute wait) after John ran ahead to get Fast Passes which wouldn't be eligible for another hour. Good thing. We finished this and unanimously voted to ride it again. Coming soon: video of the ride looking forward and looking backward. Yep, shot it on both runs. The DaddyMom can be such a geek.

The picture I came for

When this trip first became a reality, this photo sprang into my mind's eye. My and my kids in front of the Magic Kingdom. Of course, getting one picture with all five of us smiling is another thing… Poor Zu was just feeling well on the last day. Partly sad, partly congested. She is a true Texan who doesn't trust air she can't see.

Our last day of magic

The mood shifted today as we drove under that sign. Kate called it first, “I can’t believe our vacation is almost over.” Silence passed thru a four. They decided to just make sure they got in everything before time runs out.
