The Acadians were a resourceful bunch. Using the seeds of local
plants, they made buttons and jewelry. Kate was so fascinated, I got

Vermilionville is a living history museum. The girls stepped into a
day out of history with mixed results. Best visit: the schoolhouse
where they learned about the OTHER kind of switch.

Leave late, arrive late

John’s field trip returned late. So, we were late getting the trailer
and late getting to camp and even later getting to Lafayette. Arrived
at Midnight. My girls will be hearty travelers.
