Our road twists and bends, but it never ends
Kate was not happy with her hair. She wanted to take charge and make some changes. There are two things a wise man does not attempt: change the course of mighty rivers or reason with a teenage girl. She wanted a new look and a new color. I think it looks great. That smile tells you Kate feels the same.
Katherine Skye only gets more beautiful. She’s all dressed up for her first Saint Agnes Winter Formal. She and I shopped for the dress together, but the final choice was all her own—yeah, like that’s something new. So worth it to see her looking so stunning.
Grandparents Day is a huge deal at John Paul II. At Saint Agnes? It’s a morning presentation and box lunch. That didn’t matter to Grammy. She made the trip specifically to be there for Kate. Grammy saw first-hand why I’m so proud of Kate’s freshman year performance at Saint Agnes Academy.
Comings and goings can reach a fevered pitch at times in our house. This was one of those weekends. Kate was gone on her LifeTeen retreat on Friday. She returned Sunday at noon.
Then, we had to race John to the airport by 1pm for a week-long school trip in NYC.
