Movie time with Zu

Zuzu has wanted to see Ramona and Beezus since before it was released. This weekend we finally got out to see it. How as it?

It was a sweet movie. The story of a little girl who takes on the world on her own terms; thinks outside the box. In the end, she makes the difference that saves the day. A good lesson for my little Zu.

Emmy award winning girls

Winners in the category, best behaving girls in a green room. I was invited to appear on a web-tv show. The topic: widowed parenting. Robin Craig has created a wonderful support network for widows in Houston. Her real work, though, is producing television shows. She’s a three time Emmy award-winning producer of tv shows. And, she let’s the girls pose with her hardware.

Another Camp Grammy departure

Zuzu’s first Communion

Months of study and preparation behind her, Zuzu received her first Holy Communion. She is growing up so fast. And, in her own way. She is looking forward to going to mass now like never before.

Saints 2nd Grade Soccer: undefeated

Zu-pregame

They’ve played one. They’ve won one. Undefeated, I told Zuzu. That’s terrific!

Soccer3

It’s all fun for Zuzu. I explained to her later about “game face.” I don’t think she understood.

Soccer2

Indeed, it’s all for fun–and that’s how it should be. Another lesson for dad by Zuzu.

Soccer1

She didn’t score a goal, but she helped prevent a few on the way to victory.

Final score? As it should be: Catholics 3, Protestants 2. She’s so proud! Me too.
