Welcome to our journal of travels and travails

DaddyMomFam

Once upon a time, the kids and I went on a cross-country road trip which would
mean separating Zuzu and me for eight days–our longest parting to date.
I didn’t want her to worry about me. And, thus, Driving With DaddyMom was born.

Come ride Thunder Mountain with us

Our fourth day at Disney, the kids and I rode Big Thunder Mountain Railroad–a rockin’ good roller coaster. As it was THE morning ride of the day, John ran ahead to get us Fast Passes to eliminate a long-line wait for us all. By the time the rest of us caught up, the line was only 30 minutes. So, we decided to ride right then and there. By the time the first time through was done, the Fast Pass was good to go. So, we did. First time through, I recorded the ride looking back at the kids. The second time through, I recorded looking forward. Synced up, you can see 360-degrees of the ride. Twice the fun in one pass.

DaddyMom cooking with the GrammyMom

She watched so much Food TV while here, it seemed only fair to give Grammy her own show…

Itsa nica christamasa pizza

photo.jpgUncle Bud and Aunt Vi joined us for day-after-Christmas homemade pizzas. Each of the kids were hands-on creating their personal pies. This could easily become a new annual tradition. Then again, we might need to practice some before next Christmas comes rolling around again.

Zuzu slides via DaddyMom’s Wayback Machine

Here’s a little gem I found while doing some digital housecleaning. Set your watch back to May of 2004 as Zuzu experiences a giant slide. Her comment after coming down in the second video is must-see DaddyMom TV.
