Ah, the perks of stardom; the right to jerk 75,000 people around until
YOU decide it is showtime. Good object lesson on character for Kate.
She said it would leave her thinking poorly of Madonna, unless the show
is really good, then she wouldn't mind. Guess there's an object lesson in there for Dad too.
9:15 and still no Madonna
After 40 minutes of delay, a DJ?
The look of success
How badly do you want a $50 t-shirt?
Somewhere in that throng of people, my princess clutches $50 and an intrepid desire for a Madonna-emblazoned t-shirt. While wading through that mosh-pit of humanity for a souvenir seems silly to me at 49, memories of similar feats of daring left me smiling as Kate logged it into her life experience.
First in, best seats
My Comcast rep, Connie Aman, snagged a pair of tickets so Kate
and I could see the Material Girl herself in concert here at Minute Maid
Park from the comfort the cable company's posh suite. Seems odd not to see the grounds crew getting the field ready. Kate still can't believe she is here, by I'm sure she will be ready by
showtime. She already learned one lesson: when in a suite, best seats
go to the first ones in. We're in seats 1 & 2.
