Greetings from our final stop: Mexico

(Almost like being home)photo.jpg

Around the lagoon we've traveled, seeing and experiencing every country at EPCOT. It's a long road to Mexico which really wasn't a strong finish. Seeing Disney's version of what's on our own back porch is mildly comical. It consisted of a boat ride tour of various scenes and was mas cliche. At the end of the boat ride, there was a long backup delaying the ride's end; they had more boats coming in than they could empty. John started to complain and I told him, "what do you expect? It's Mexico. Nothing happens on time here."

Greetings from Norway

Been here. Done this. Saw it yesterday at lunch. The film shown about Norway painted a picture of a dark and earnest people living in an inhospitable setting. Yum. Let's vacation there next.

Artistic idle time for Stella

photo.jpg

As the other three delighted to another performance by those chinese acrobats we saw yesterday, Stella dug into a book purchased along our walk. She and I shared in our disinterest in watching some guy balance on a teeter-totter while kicking bowls into a stack on his head. Now, if they could show a guy juggling a business, four kids and a personal life and do it with style–THAT I'd pay money to see.

Awe inspiring even in re-creation

(Lucky Grammy got to see the real ones.)

Just so you know: every picture you're seeing on this blog was taken with the camera in my iPhone. This one way taken under very low light and came out great. These characters are an exact duplicate of the ones Grammy saw on her trip to China. Stunning, even in a scaled reproduction. John says there are many more such figures still being excavated now on the same site.

Greetings from Wal-Mar…. er, China

Doesn't everyone look like they're having FUN? It's about 3:30PM and we are all running on fumes. A few more countries and we can eat. It's not that the experience isn't fun and entertaining. It's more a matter of our input buffers have overloaded and stuff is bouncing off our brains.
