Ah, what's not to like about Germany? Kate said it looks fake. I assured her it is. But, I told her Germany isn't much different; very neat, clean and orderly. That anal-retentive nature, I told her, is how they almost ruled the world.
Always a party in Italy

Look deep into this picture on the middle right. See those two kids watching this street performer? John and Stella are positioned with hopes of getting called upon to participate. (Sorry, no such luck.) Even so, it was amazing to watch this guy perform.

There's a rule, I think, at Disney. When you try to take a picture of your family, some goombah has to position themselves in the background. Regardless of the one planted like a tree in the left of the shot, the reproduction of Italy was my favorite of the trip. I told the kids, that would have to be a grown-up only trip for me: too many pictures to be taken to be responsible for them. Somehow, they understood.

Shortly before we got to see The American Experience production, these singers came out and belted out one traditional American song after another. Their performance was one of those Disney plus-ups that make this park the magical place it is. I suspected the kids would think it corny. To my pleasant surprise, they all remarked how much they enjoyed it.
