Roadtrip 2011

This is the last DaddyMom road trip as we know them. By the time we tear another 12 months from the calendar, Grant and Kyle will join the Monkey Troop after Sandie and I marry in October. And, John will be about to leave for college. While not truly a DaddyMom anymore, I'll treasure the title every day God gives me on this earth.

Treat for my sweet ones

While buying our picnic provisions for tomorrow in Boston, I spotted this treasure at the supermarket. Yoohoo was a favorite chocolate treat of mine while growing up in the northeast. Can’t wait to share it with the kids.

Happy 80th Birthday, John

Tracey’s Dad turns 80 on the 4th of July. Fact is, this picture was the biggest reason we made this trip now. The whole family in one place. How often does that ever happen?

Yes, it can get even worse

It took us about 90 minutes to drive 15 miles to the National Seashore. I swore it couldn’t get worse. Then, we saw this outbound traffic on the way back. Our best guess is, some of these cars we saw heading down cape wouldn’t make it in less than two to three hours. And, when they get there, it will be crowded to or beyond capacity. Yikes. Doesn’t sound like fun to me.
