It’s said a vacation begins the minute you buy the tickets. For us, the journey begins with buy-in. Rather than mounting the massive (and expensive) airlift this Summer, we’re going on the road! The kids travel to Utah and dad continues solo for a week to find the pictures God has waiting for me.
This is a journal of our adventure. From planning to driving and coming home, read along and feel like you’re riding along on Summer Tour ’07: Driving with DaddyMom!
This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. I can’t wait to track your progress – great idea! Charlie – your solo photo safari will be a hugely spiritual experience for you in some of God’s most beautiful country. Love you all, have a great time!!
This will be an awesome journey of discovery whose benefits far outweigh the costs. You go guy!
Eastward I go only by force, but westward I go free. –Henry David Thoreau
“Gutsiest Move I’ve Ever Seen, Maverick”
Did you receive the Annointing of the Sick before you left? Ah! The Bravery! Ah! The Humanity!
Enjoy, I think?
This reminds me of a radio contest Charlie! If we guess the mileage of the last leg of the trip what do we win? You are so funny. I loved this comment, “thank goodness it happened on the Katy freeway… If it had happened on the feeder, they might have been moving faster.”
I’ll be checking your status! Have a safe and wonderful time with your family.
Love,
Bill
